Renowned Indian playback singer Arijit Singh has postponed his much-anticipated concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for May 9, 2025, at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island. The decision comes in light of escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor.
Official Statement
In an official statement shared on his Instagram account, Arijit Singh’s team announced:
“Dear Fans, due to recent events, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for 9 May 2025, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island. We deeply appreciate your patience, support, and understanding during this time. We are working closely with the venue, and the new date will be announced soon.”
The team further assured fans that all purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. Alternatively, attendees may opt for a full refund within seven days, starting May 12, 2025
The postponement follows India’s retaliatory strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan, after Pakistan-sponsored terrorists were allegedly behind an attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that claimed 26 lives.
This is not the first time Arijit Singh has postponed a concert due to such events. Last month, he canceled his Chennai concert, which was planned for April 27, 2025, as a mark of respect and sympathy for those affected by the Pahalgam terror attack
